At a rally in Miami, Donald Trump once again focused his comments about the media directly at one journalist, NBC News correspondent Katy Tur.
“We have massive crowds. There’s something happening,” Trump said, then pointing at the traveling press corps, added “Katy, you’re not reporting it, Katy. But there’s something happening, Katy.”
Even after Trump moved on, a supporter kept up the attacks on Tur:
Trump calls out @KatyTurNBC from the stage in the middle of a riff bashing media and now this guy behind me is just endlessly taunting her

In response, journalists including HLN’s Ashleigh Banfield, CNBC’s John Harwood, MSNBC’s Kasie Hunt, and NBC’s Andrea Mitchell have been standing up for Tur on Twitter, and calling out the bullying of reporters on the campaign trail, using the hashtag “ImWithTur”:
.@KatyTurNBC has been doing stellar reporting since day 1 in #Decision2016 let's stop beating up on the media #ImWithTur
— Andrea Mitchell (@mitchellreports) November 2, 2016
for the record, @KatyTurNBC is a bad-ass reporter
— John Harwood (@JohnJHarwood) November 2, 2016
.@KatyTurNBC is one of my favs. The fact there’s an #ImWithTur hashtag might be the best and funniest thing Twitter has ever done.

Hey @realDonaldTrump in Real America reporters ask questions and aren't shhh'd like they are in Iran. It's why America's great. #imwithTur
— Ashleigh Banfield (@TVAshleigh) July 27, 2016
The “ImWithTur” hashtag dates back to at least June, when Trump called Tur “not a very good reporter,” and before Trump told Tur in July to “be quiet” when she attempted to ask him a question.
