José Díaz-Balart is being honored with the Presidential Award of Visibility by the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) at the Hall of Fame & Honors luncheon on September 19 in Orlando, Florida.

“José is not only an exceptional example of a solid journalist, but one that has never forgotten his community,” said Mekahlo Medina, NAHJ President. “He not only works for fair and accurate representation of Latinos in news, he is relentless about informing all Americans about Latino issues that are American issues.”

In addition to hosting shows on both MSNBC and Telemundo, the hard-working anchor has reported from Orlando, Washington D.C. (twice), Mexico City, Laredo, Texas (twice) and Miami in the last two week alone. The NAHJ is dedicated to the recognition and professional advancement of Hispanics in the news industry.
