Jonathan Vigliotti Joins CBS Newspath as Correspondent

CBS News has named Jonathan Vigliotti as a correspondent for CBS Newspath. He will be based in London.

Vigliotti has been a reporter at WNBC in New York:

Vigliotti joins CBS News from WNBC-TV in New York City, where he had been an investigative and general assignment reporter since 2011. He contributed to MSNBC, The Weather Channel and CNBC and covered the rebuilding of New York City after 9/11; the Boston bombings; and the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Vigliotti has received seven regional Emmys for live reporting and in-depth investigations, including a story on a gun-training program marketed to children. He was part of the team that won an Emmy Award for coverage of Hurricane Sandy, and in 2014, he received a grant from the Pulitzer Center on Crises Reporting to cover climate change in Greenland and the Artic. The Associated Press, Society of Professional Journalists and the Radio Television Digital News Association have also honored Vigliotti for his reporting on school safety measures.
