John King Jokes About His Puffy Eye: “No One Landed A Punch”

First, Jerry Seinfeld had a puffy shirt. Now, CNN’s John King has a puffy eye.

Filling in last night for Anderson Cooper on AC360, King was about to toss to a break (and, ironically, had just wrapped up a story on health care) when he motioned to his right eye and joked that “no one landed a punch, [it was] some odd allergic reaction.”

King also mentioned his eye on the AC360 blog, writing that it’s “hard to miss some swelling around my right eye. No worries; some sort of allergic reaction.”

King tells TVNewser, “The source of the allergy is a mystery. But I’m alive and I will be anchoring tonight!”
