Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski Prepare for Return to Radio

By Alex Weprin

MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski have been off of the radio airwaves since April, when Citadel, which syndicates the show, said their program was going on hiatus for a revamping.

Now it looks like the pair are ready for their comeback.

Last night Scarborough tweeted:

“We are going to be on WABC radio airwaves soon. Mika and I are very excited! More details to come.”

Update: Radio trade blog NTS MediaOnline has more on the new show:

The blog reports that the show will be a Saturday program, not a weekday one, and that no premiere date has been set.

Still, the new show might come as a surprise to WABC morning drive host and Fox Business Network host Don Imus, who said on his program that the idea they were revamping their program was “crazy,” and that it was unlikely they would return to WABC.
