Jesse Palmer Calls His Stint at GMA ‘A Real Breakthrough’

By A.J. Katz

Jesse Palmer has reveled and thrived in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. He did it on the football field for years, and carried that experience to the small screen, establishing himself as a successful sports and entertainment TV host.

Palmer’s journey has been a circuitous one. He spoke to Adweek about his most recent gig as a Good Morning America contributor from 2015-2017:

“That was a real breakthrough for me. Being on live TV, either on ESPN calling games or presenting stories to viewers, almost replaces the rush of playing football.”

The TV newser hopes to bring that same energy to the new syndicated news magazine program Daily Mail TV, which will cover essentially every topic, from tech to celebrity gossip, similar to the British website of the same name.

“I’m excited to bring viewers at home new stories and tons of guests every day,” Palmer told Adweek. “For me, getting to experience new storytelling formats is exciting, and DailyMailTV can be the place where people can come to see the news first.”
