Jeff Goldblatt Exits Chicago’s Fox Station

Former Fox News Channel correspondent Jeff Goldblatt — who’s been the 9pm main anchor at Chicago’s Fox O&O WFLD-TV since August of 2008 — is leaving the station, reports vocalo.org’s Robert Feder.

According to Feder, Goldblatt told colleagues his contract would not be renewed later this year. Goldblatt joined WFLD in “a wave of Fox News Channel anchors and reporters drafted for key news positions at Fox-owned stations under big boss Roger Ailes. Among others were Dari Alexander, Rick Folbaum, Greg Kelly, Heather Nauert and Mike Jerrick.”

It’s not known what’s next for Goldblatt. As far as his replacement, Feder cites speculation focused on former CBS News correspondent and Chicago news veteran Bob Sirott.
