January Ratings: FNC’s 85th Month in First

Fox News Channel was once again the top rated cable news network in January, its 85th consecutive month in first place in Total Viewers. It also was #1 in the A25-54 demo during prime time. Fox News was also the 3rd ranked network on all of cable in prime time, and 6th in total day.

The O’Reilly Factor finished January as the top cable news program, its 98th consecutive month in that position. It also gained viewership year-to-year (up 20% in Total Viewers and 17% in the A25-54 demo). The Factor and America’s Newsroom (9-11amET) averaged more Total Viewers than CNN and MSNBC combined.

Since Sean Hannity’s solo debut at 9pmET on January 12, the program is up 69% in Total Viewers and 56% in the demo compared to “Hannity & Colmes” in January 2008.
