‘Is That The Weirdest Thing You’ve Ever Heard?’

By Jordan Chariton

“The Sound of Music Live!” starring Carrie Underwood scored huge ratings for NBC Thursday night, but MSNBC’s Thomas Roberts scored his own memorable performance earlier that day.

During Thursday’s show “toss” between Chris Jansing and Roberts, he jokingly told Jansing he was upset to not be included in her show’s discussion of “Sound of Music.”

“I’m very upset I was not apart of your ‘Sound of Music’ conversation,”Roberts said, adding that he played Friedrich Von Trapp in the eighth grade.

So, Jansing prodded him to sing a little…which he obliged. Jansing responded with utter bemusement. “Is it me or is that the weirdest thing you’ve ever heard?”
