Jeb Bush Talks to MSNBC, But Don’t Call it an Interview

By Mark Joyella

Former presidential candidate Jeb Bush will sit down for his first televised chat since Donald Trump became the presumptive Republican nominee. But MSNBC was careful not to call the one-on-one an interview. The former Florida governor sits down with MSNBC contributor and former President George W. Bush communications director Nicolle Wallace at the Bush family compound in Kennebunkport, Maine.

The MSNBC press release calls it a “sit down,” an “exclusive conversation,” and a “one-on-one discussion,” but is careful not to use the word interview. Wallace will preview her conversation with Andrea Mitchell at 12 p.m. ET on MSNBC, with the full airing in a one-hour special hour anchored by Rachel Maddow and Brian Williams tonight at 10 p.m. ET.
