ABC Wins in Total Viewers in Dan Harris’ First Full Week on ‘Nightline’

In Dan Harris’ first full week anchoring “Nightline,” the ABC program took the top spot in total viewers and placed second behind “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” in the younger demos. “Nightline” won in all three ratings measurements on Thursday, posting its strongest numbers in total viewers, A25-54 viewers and A18-49 viewers since June.

Season-to-date, ABC is up +4% in total viewers compared to the same weeks last year. “Nightline” leads CBS’ “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” by +181,000 total viewers, +82,000 viewers in the A25-54 demo and +88,000 viewers in the A18-49 demo in the first four weeks of the season.

ABC’s ratings are based on a 30-minute broadcast, while CBS and NBC are based on approximately :50 minutes (prior to the final national commercial break of each program).
