In Anderson We Trust

M ove over, Washington, Lincoln, and Jackson: there’s a fresh face on America’s currency.

Yup, that’s Anderson Cooper’s mug superimposed on a $20 bill, part of an “Anderson’s Auction” held Wednesday on his daytime show Anderson. The program began with audience members finding “Anderson Money” beneath their seats, usable for bidding during an auction helmed by Paul Brown of Discovery Channel’s Auction Kings.

Proceeds go to one of Cooper’s favorite charities, Puppies Behind Bars. One of the items up for sale?  An Anderson Cooper Cabbage Patch doll – going for $4,000 last we checked eBay – who sat on-set alongside human guest John Cusack:

GMA’s Lara Spencer also made a cameo on the show, offering tips on shopping for bargains, a topic she writes about in her new bookI Brake for Yard Sales.
