Immigration Reform Gets the ‘Full Marco’ on Sunday Shows

By Chris Ariens

Florida Sen. Marco Rubio will be on all seven Sunday shows promoting the “Gang of Eight” immigration reform plan, likely to be unveiled Tuesday. Rubio, from Miami, will be on “This Week,” “Face the Nation,” “Meet the Press,” “FOX News Sunday,” CNN’s “State of the Union,” Univision’s “Al Punto” and Telemundo’s “Enfoque.”

As Politico’s Mike Allen points out, the previous record of six Sunday shows went to Jeb Bush in March. Before that, if someone appeared on five Sunday shows, it was called “a full Ginsburg” named for Monica Lewinsky‘s lawyer William Ginsburg, who was the first to make the full rounds of five shows in 1998.

For Pete’s sake — or Marco’s sake — someone please keep a bottle of water close by.
