MSNBC gave away free tickets to see Beyoncé, Ed Sheeran, Pearl Jam and Coldplay at the Global Citizen Festival through a “Snap Challenge.”
In an MSNBC first, hundreds of fans followed the network’s Shift story on Snapchat to look for clues around various locations in New York. The modern-day scavenger hunt included taking a selfie at specific locations, picking up trash on the street and singing one of the headliners’ songs in Central Park.
The last clue was to go to the NBC Experience Store and the first five who submitted the photos in response to the clues received the free tickets. The concert is September 26 and will be hosted by Willie Geist, Janet Mock, Thomas Roberts and Alex Wagner.
