How News Nets Reported Rupert Murdoch ‘Not a Fit Person’ to Lead News Corp.

All the cable news networks, including those run by News Corp., reported this morning’s findings from the British parliament, that company CEO and chairman Rupert Murdoch is “not a fit person” to run the corporation. The BBC reports that the culture committee of parliament, “has concluded that Mr. Murdoch exhibited ‘wilful blindness’ to what was going on in News Corporation. But the committee was split six to four with Tory members refusing to endorse the report and branding it ‘partisan.'”

The story broke just after 6:30amET. News Corp.’s Fox Business and Bloomberg were the first U.S. channels to report the findings, followed soon-after by CNBC. The business channels have reported the story several times since, including coverage from a news conference. CNN has reported the story more than a half dozen times according to a search in TVEyes. Fox News has reported it once, just after 8am and MSNBC first reported it in the 9amET hour. The “Today” show, “Good Morning America” and “CBS This Morning” all reported the story in the 7am half hour.
