Ratings are in for the first full week of “The Lead,” CNN’s new 4pmET program anchored by Jake Tapper. The show averaged 352,000 Total Viewers and 78,000 A25-54 viewers for the week, putting it in last place in its time slot among the cable news networks. Friday’s show was the lowest-rated of the week, drawing 258,000 Total Viewers and 68,000 in the demo.
The show was down -32% in Total Viewers and -33% in A25-54 viewers compared to the same week last year. Compared to the previous week, which saw the election of a new Pope, the show was down -39% in Total Viewers and -44% in the demo.
