How Bill Moyers Became the Get of the Week

By Chris Ariens

Bill Moyers got more airtime on for-profit TV last night than he’s had since his short stint at NBC in the mid-1990’s.

The PBS host was the subject of segments on The O’Reilly Factor and Countdown with Keith Olbermann. It all stems from the weekend confrontation during which O’Reilly producer Porter Berry “ambushed” (Olbermann’s words) Moyers at a “lunatic left” (O’Reilly’s words) media conference.

Berry attempted to get Moyers to commit to a guest appearance on the Factor but a crowd of “unstable people” (O’Reilly’s words) turned their cameras on him. That’s the series of clips Countdown used last night.

O’Reilly covered the conference by chatting with Juan Williams and Townhall.com’s Mary Katherine Ham telling them, “our crew felt they were in physical danger at that conference.”

O’Reilly only used the Berry video during a later segment on body language. Click continued to see it…
