By Molly Stark Dean

“Today” show fourth hour co-anchor Hoda Kotb, whose parents were born in Cairo, is weighing in on the situation in Egypt. On Monday’s show, co-host Kathie Lee Gifford asked Kotb how she felt about the turmoil in her parents’ homeland. Kotb explained that police are generally disrespected while the military is looked up to. She described Egypt as “a gentle society.” Kotb has been in touch with her relatives, and says “everyone seems to be fine.”
