HLN Switches Up Daytime Schedule

By Brian Flood

HLN made some changes to its daytime schedule today, with repeats of Dr. Drew and Nancy Grace moving to the afternoons. The Daily Share is scaling back its 5-hour live program, and will now air for just two hours live at Noon ET and 3 p.m. ET.

“With the premiere of the New Dr. Drew in prime, we felt that the time was right to also introduce this relationship focused show to a day-side audience to complement The Daily Share,” an HLN spokesperson tells TVNewser.

The Daily Share launched at the beginning of this year, following the re-branding of the network last year as the “Home for the social media generation.” HLN’s daytime programming had consisted of court shows and live trial coverage. Before that, and for the first 20 years of its existence, Headline News during the day was a newswheel of half-hour newscasts. Headline News officially became HLN in 2008.
