Here’s What Fusion’s New Studios Look Like

By Alex Weprin

Over the past two weeks, the technical staff at Fusion have been hard at work constructing the new cable news and lifestyle channel’s studio space just outside of Miami. The bulk of the work is now done, and the anchors, producers and correspondents will be starting rehearsals soon.

“We wanted our studio space to visually represent the tone of Fusion’s programming – something bold, stimulating, and unique,” said Michael Berkman, VP and creative director at Fusion.

Among the features of the studios: a nine-foot high and 40-foot wide video wall, the ability to change the color scheme of the studio to reflect the different shows of the severity of the story being presented and a guitar-pick shaped floor that Fusion says was “inspired in part by ‘Saturday Night Fever’.”
