A lone man in street clothes stands in center field at a sun-splashed, idyllic ball park, with hands in his pockets, staring back towards home plate. The man is Brad Pitt, and he’s apparently conveying the spirit of Moneyball, a book that’s long on statistics and short on the short of Field of Dreams ambience this movie poster is trying to sell. Can’t really blame the producers, though; Brad Pitt poring over on-base percentages probably wouldn’t bring in as many casual baseball fans.
The movie, which co-stars Jonah Hill and Philip Seymour Hoffman, comes out this fall. Its tagline? “What are you really worth.”
