Here’s How Fox News Channel Reported on Roger Ailes, Megyn Kelly Tonight

Tonight, during coverage of the Republican National Convention, Fox News Channel took time to report a most awkward story—the uncertain future of the network’s founder and chairman, Roger Ailes, said to be in the process of negotiating his exit from the network after 20 years.

FNC chief political anchor Bret Baier tossed to Howie Kurtz just before 7 p.m. ET. “Meanwhile, a developing media story about this channel, Fox News Channel, and its parent company, 21st Century Fox.”

Kurtz cited Tuesday’s story in New York Magazine reporting that Megyn Kelly had told investigators that Ailes had sexually harassed her as a Fox News correspondent years ago. “Kelly has not addressed the matter publicly at all,” Kurtz said.
