TVNewser has learned Heather Allan, who was laid off from NBC News in December after more than 30 years with the company, is taking a job as interim head of news for Al Jazeera English based in Doha, Qatar. Allan has been in NBC’s Burbank bureau for the last 20 years, much of that time as bureau chief.
