Lama Hasan has been named an ABC News correspondent based in Cairo, Egypt. The announcement was made today by ABC News President David Westin who said “She has a deep understanding of this part of the world, and our viewers, listeners, and readers will benefit from her contributions from a region full of important, complex stories.”
Hasan will report for “World News,” “Nightline,” and “Good Morning America” for ABC News.
Previously, Hasan was based in London and anchored “World View” on ABC News Now. In the past, she covered several major stories and conflicts in the region and worked as a field producer for ABC News in the Middle East.
