Gupta Still Reporting For CNN As SG Job Looms

It has been more than a month since Dr. Sanjay Gupta’s name was floated as a possible Surgeon General for the Obama administration. This morning he was on CNN several times reporting on the autism-vaccine court case.

At the time, CNN gave this statement: “Since first learning that Dr. Gupta was under consideration for the Surgeon General position, CNN made sure his on air reporting has been on health and wellness matters, not on healthcare policy or any matters concerning the new administration.”

A CNN spokesperson tells TVNewser his status has not changed from what CNN originally reported. And the Surgeon General position remains unfilled.
