Greta Van Susteren Isn’t a Fan of Presidential Interviews During Super Bowl

By Jordan Chariton

greta van susterenOnce again, Bill O’Reilly and President Obama generated a memorable pre-Super Bowl interview, but Greta Van Susteren blogged that she wasn’t feeling super about the president being a part of the festivities.

Don’t you think it odd that there is an interview of the President about news in the midst of 6 hour SuperBowl show? With all the ‘stuff’ that goes on in the world, I want a few minutes off….I want something light…something maybe just about sports. Maybe a high light reel of great moments in football?

Van Susteren added she doesn’t blame her colleague for interviewing the president—she would have loved to—but 10 minutes isn’t enough time to talk important issues.

During the interview, the president responded to O’Reilly’s questions about the Benghazi compound attack, the IRS scandal, and the healthcare.gov blunder by suggesting the reason they “keep on surfacing” is due, in part, to the fact that Fox News continues to “promote them.”
