Greta Van Susteren Interviews U.S. Marine Jailed in Mexico

By Jordan Chariton

Greta Van Susteren must subscribe to the saying, “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.”

Greta got off the air last night to the alert that she might be able to interview U.S. Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi whose been held in a Mexican prison for nearly two months. Van Susteren spent several days in Mexico last week trying to land an interview with Tahmooressi. On GretaWire she writes:

Rather than jumping on the 9pm train back to DC, we hung around the NY Bureau and yes, we interviewed him. Tune in to watch the interview on Thursday at 7pm.

Tahmooressi has been held in a Tijuana prison on weapons charges. The Afghanistan War veteran says he accidentally drove into Mexico; he was armed with three firearms that he says are legally owned in his name. We’re told Van Susteren is still actively trying to get access to the prison for an on-camera interview.

Here’s a sneak peak of the interview, conducted via phone.
