Two weeks after colon cancer surgery, Weather Channel meteorologist Dr. Greg Forbes has been cleared to return to work. He will be back on the air next week.
“Dr. Forbes will be in and out of the office the next several months for ongoing treatment and follow-ups, but we’ll be very happy to have him back in the office when he is up to it. Based on the outpouring of support on social media, I know his fans will feel the same,” Weather Channel president David Clark wrote in a note to staff this morning.

As some of you know, he’s already been contributing severe weather forecasts from home and was on-air via phone yesterday.
