Peter Cronkite, the 22-year-old grandson of CBS News legend Walter Cronkite, has died.
The New York Post reports Cronkite, who was a senior at Colby College in Maine took his own life this past weekend.
Members of the Colby College community gathered in the college chapel Monday night to mourn Cronkite, who was a sports editor of the school newspaper as well as an active member of the rugby team.

Peter Cronkite’s brother Walter Cronkite IV is an associate producer for CBS News on Capitol Hill. Their grandfather was the anchor of the CBS Evening News from 1962-1981. He died in July, 2009.
