GM Signs Deal With NBC For 2012 Olympics

By Marcus Vanderberg

General Motors has signed on as the exclusive U.S. auto advertiser on NBC’s broadcast of the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

GM didn’t reveal how much they spent for the exclusive rights but they spent $41.5 million on U.S. ads during the 2010 Winter Olympics, according to date from Kantar Media.

You can expect a lot of Cadillac and Chevrolet commercials when the games air from July 27-Aug. 12. And for those of you who aren’t down with American vehicles, BMW AG will also advertise as part of an agreement they signed last year to be a sponsor of the U.S. Olympic Committee.
