Last night’s Game 5 of the National League Championship Series drew a 7.9 overnight rating, the highest mark for any NLCS telecast since Game 7 of the 2006 NLCS between the New York Mets and St. Louis Cardinals.
Locally, the game posted a 28.5/53 in the San Francisco market, the highest rating for any MLB telecast since Game 7 of the 2002 World Series between the Giants and Los Angeles Angels (41.5/62). In the Philadelphia market, the game posted a 31.4/45.
