Per today’s Philadelphia Inquirer, Geraldo Rivera thinks Katie Couric should stay on Today:
“She should stay right where she is. Katie’s brilliant on the show. She’s part of this amazing quartet that’s the best in the business, team-wise. She’s reaching millions of people, and she goes wherever she wants to.”
Sure, Couric could anchor the CBS Evening News, but “she’s going into unknown territory,” Geraldo says. “The world will be hanging on her every word. She’ll have to assume this guise of ‘anchor-lady.’ You have to be more solemn than a guy would. You sort of hold your breath and say, ‘Here I am.'”
