Fusion will premiere a documentary Prison Kids: A Crime Against America’s Children on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET. The special is narrated by Academy Award-nominated actress Gabourey Sidibe and features an introduction by Russell Simmons. Throughout October, National Youth Justice Awareness Month, Fusion will be addressing issues of youth justice.
“Fusion is committed to putting a spotlight on social justice issues in a way that provokes honest and candid conversations about the way we treat, and sometimes mistreat, each other,” said Fusion CEO Isaac Lee. “I am incredibly proud of Fusion’s reporting on our broken juvenile justice system and with this project we hope young people everywhere will join us in being a catalyst for positive change.”
