Fusion Documents Sam Simon’s Cancer Battle

Fusion had been working on a documentary about Sam Simon, the co-creator of “The Simpsons,” for some time when he died Sunday. Simon battled colon cancer. Doctors thought he might have only three months to live. He survived three years. In 2013 Simon vowed to give his fortune away to causes close to his heart, including animal rights.

“Sam Simon is a singular figure,” says Fusion CEO Isaac Lee. “Our hope is to pay tribute to his life and career while also sparking an important conversation about animal rights and empowering young people to be a catalyst for change.” The documentary airs tomorrow night at 8pmET. Here’s a preview
