Adam Housley and actress Tamera Lowry came home from an exciting vacation in Europe — one in which the FNCer proposed to the “Sister, Sister” star — to find their smartphones inundated with messages about a supposed rift in the Mowry family about the engagement.
Yesterday, a “source close to the couple” told E! that “they were engaged a few years ago, but broke it off” and that “her family is not crazy about him…Tia and Adam don’t always get along, but the couple are happy together and giving it another try.”
But a source close to the couple tells TVNewser that LA-based Housley and the Mowry family “get along fabulously and have for a long time.” TVNewser has also learned that Tia as well as the twins’ brother are in the wedding party. Our source also disputes E!’s reporting that a previous engagement was broken off, calling it “laughable.”
The gossip spread quickly around the web and was even reported on some local newscasts. The local FOX O&O in Orlando, WOFL, went so far as to misreport that Housley “popped the question to another FOX correspondent.” Frankly, we’d love to see this happen, but it seems unlikely.
