Fox News Midwest Chief Todd Ciganek Moving On

By Chris Ariens

Todd Ciganek, who has been Fox News bureau chief in Chicago since 2002, is leaving the network. Ciganek told bureau staffers this week that he’s leaving to join BidClerk, a Chicago company that produces research reports for the construction industry where he’ll be VP of Information Services. He starts Monday.

Ciganek joined Fox News in New York as national editor in 1999 from WFTS-TV in Tampa/St. Pete where he was assignment manager. Ciganek got his start as an assignment editor across the street at WFLA-TV.

For now, day-to-day operations in the Fox News Chicago bureau will be overseen by the national desk in New York.
