‘Fox & Friends’ Pranked By Fake Obama Turned Romney Supporter

By Alex Weprin

This isn’t the best way to start off the week. it appears as though Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends” was pranked by one of its interviewees this morning. Gretchen Carlson interviewed Max Rice, who said he was a recent college grad who voted for Obama in 2008, but is now switching his vote to Mitt Romney.

As Mediaite noticed, however, Rice’s answers were of the very snarky variety, and Carlson wasn’t happy with it. It got quite awkward.

Update: After about three minutes of Googling, it looks as though Rice is a (wannabe?) stand up comedian. After the jump, one of his gigs from January (not really safe for work, unless you have headphones).

Update PM: Fox News executive VP of programming Bill Shine tells TVNewser: “We are still examining the situation, but it will be addressed with the appropriate parties involved.”

Also, Rice gave an interview to Raw Story where he explained how he got on the air.
