Former GMAer Mike Barz Out At Chicago’s Fox Station

Former Good Morning America features reporter/fill-in weatherman Mike Barz is out as a morning anchor for Chicago’s Fox O&O, WFLD.

The Chicago Sun-Times‘ Lewis Lazare reports that Barz, who joined the station in 2007, was dismissed after what a source tells Lazar was “inappropriate and offensive behavior toward a fellow employee.” Lazar says the “incident is said to have occurred at a going-away party earlier this month” for a WFLD reporter.

Here’s the kicker: this is the second time Barz has run into trouble after attending a going-away party with co-workers. It was back in 2007 that former Sun-Times columnist Robert Feder reported that Barz served a suspension after what a source described as “dirty dancing” with a female colleague at a nightclub.
