NBC Sports’ TCA panel took place yesterday, with Football Night in America hosts Keith Olbermann and Dan Patrick, among others.

Broadcasting & Cable’s Alex Weprin writes about NBC’s Super Bowl plans next February, which will include some news programs on location in Tampa, Florida.

The network announced that a special Super Bowl Sunday edition of Today — anchored by Matt Lauer, Meredith Vieira, Al Roker and Ann Curry — will originate from Tampa, Fla., from 8 a.m.-10 a.m., followed by a special edition of Meet the Press (anchored by whoever the new host may be) originating at Raymond James Stadium from 10 a.m.-11 a.m.

A special edition of Football Night in America will also take place.

Olbermann was asked in the panel if he will insert political content into his Football gig. “Barring the possibility that John McCain selects Brett Favre as his running mate, I don’t think you will see any political content [on Football Night] this year,” he said.
