By Chris Ariens

Greta Van Susteren, who was honored with the Excellence in Media Award from the Board of Directors of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund earlier this week, will anchor her show from Philadelphia, where a police officer was shot last night.

All the cable networks carried a live news conference with Philadelphia Police Commissioner Richard Ross this afternoon in which Ross announced that Police Officer Jesse Hartnett was shot at 13 times, and struck three times, but was able to return fire. Police caught the suspect who has confessed to the crime and said he did it “in the name of Islam.” The commissioner also revealed the gun used it the attack had been stolen from the home of another Philly police office in October, 2013.
