Following the interview, there was an arms war on cable news and on the morning shows to try and book the best “gets” to react to the interview.

Thanks to a serendipitous booking, CNN’s “AC360,” Anderson Cooper interviewed Betsy Andreu, who Armstrong talked about during the interview with Oprah. She was emotional, raw and spoke directly to Armstrong.

On “Today,” Armstrong’s former colleague Floyd Landis appeared, as did the CEO of Livestrong Doug Ulman, the foundation which Armstrong founded to help with cancer research.

On “CBS This Morning,” the team spoke to Jonathan Vaughters, another former teammate of Armstrong’s.
