Last week I noted that FNC’s ratings for the State of the Union were “stunning” and “broadcast-like.” Today Nielsen’s Top 40 cable network ranking report reaffirms it:
With 6.4 million viewers, FNC’s SOTU broadcast was the #1 program on all of cable last week. Its post-speech analysis ranked seventh, in between The Closer and Spongebob. Coverage of the Democratic response ranked 22nd.
No other cable news programs were ranked in the top 40.
