In the first week of 2009, Meet the Press was the top rated Sunday morning public affairs program in Total Viewers and the A25-54 demo. All four programs grew week-to-week. CBS’ Face the Nation was the #2 program in both categories for the sixth week out of the last seven.
In the demo, NBC was first with a 1.3 rating, followed by CBS (1.1), ABC (.8) and FOX (.5). In the D.C. market, MTP was #1, CBS #2, FOX #3 and ABC #4.
The David Gregory-moderated program averaged 4,715,000 Total Viewers. In 2nd was CBS’ Face the Nation with 3,633,000, followed by ABC’s This Week with 3,255,000 and FOX News Sunday with 1,514,000.
