Fiorina Comes To FBN

Fox Business Network announced it has hired former Hewlett-Packard Chairman and CEO Carly Fiorina to be a contributor to the new network. In making the announcement, EVP Kevin Magee said, “Carly Fiorina is one of the foremost business leaders of our time. We are proud to have her join FBN.”

Fiorina: “I am pleased to have the opportunity to continue to speak out on issues of vital concern to our economy and our nation.”

Fiorina served as the Chairman and CEO of HP from 1999 to 2005. Her memoir Tough Choices, has become a New York Times and international best-seller.

FOX BUSINESS NETWORK NAMES CARLY FIORINA AS CONTRIBUTOR

American business leader and former Fortune 20 CEO Carly Fiorina has
joined FOX Business Network (FBN) as a contributor, announced Kevin
Magee, Executive Vice President, FOX News.

In making the announcement, Magee said, “Carly Fiorina is one of the

Fiorina served as the Chairman and CEO of Hewlett-Packard Company from
1999 to 2005. Under her leadership, Hewlett-Packard doubled in evenue
to over $80 Billion, achieved the highest rate of innovation in company history, and secured leadership positions in every product line and market segment. She also led the successful $25 Billion merger with Compaq Computers, widely credited with turning Hewlett-Packard into the largest technology company in the world today. Fiorina is the first and, to date, only woman to lead a Fortune 20 company.

During her extensive career, she rose through the ranks of AT&T
Corporation and Lucent Technologies, where she led Lucent’s IPO and
became President of its largest business. She has also served on the
boards of many of the world’s largest corporations, including Merck &
Company, Cisco Systems and Kellogg Company, and sat on the executive
board of the New York Stock Exchange. Today she serves on the board of TSMC, Inc., the largest semi-conductor manufacturer in the world and also serves on a number of private company boards.

A leader in corporate stewardship, Fiorina is recognized for calling
upon business leaders to redefine the role of the corporation and use
profit engines to improve global living conditions. Fiorina is also
recognized as a leader in improving government effectiveness and
private-public partnerships. Today, she serves as the Chairman of the External Advisory Board for the Central Intelligence Agency, Member of the Board of the Defense Business Board and the Advisory Board for Transformational Diplomacy at the Department of State. Her non-profit board participation includes MIT, Vital Voices and Freedom House among others.
