Fake Huffington Post Twitter Account Targets Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow

Twitter has suspended the @HuffPostNews account after a flurry of Tweets exclaiming “Conservatives rule!!!!!” and targeting “left-wing assholes.” Individuals mentioned include Pres. Barack Obama and MSNBC commentators Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow.

Huffington Post spokesman Mario Ruiz tells the AP the site was not hacked but that someone simply used an account with the HuffPost name.

Neither HuffingtonPost.com nor the site’s official Twitter stream, @huffingtonpost have brought up the issue.
