Fox News Channel’s The O’Reilly Factor continued its run atop the Experian Hitwise list of the top three cable-news-show websites for the week ending May 28, while MSNBC’s The Rachel Maddow Show rebounded to claim second place, and fellow MSNBC offering The Last Word placed third.
The top three late-night talk-show sites were unchanged from the previous week: Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and The Colbert Report, followed by NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
There were no surprises in the morning-news-show rankings: NBC’s Today, ABC’s Good Morning America, and CBS’ The Early Show.

Fox surged into first place on the list of broadcast-network websites, and ABC also bypassed CBS to finish at No. 2, dropping the Tiffany Network to third place. The top two broadcast-show sites were unchanged for the third consecutive week — Fox’s American Idol and ABC’s Dancing with the Stars — while Fox’s Glee claimed third place. New entries to the top 25 were Fox’s The Simpsons (to No. 9 from No. 51), and NBC’s The Event (17 from 32).
The Daily Show lost its spot in the top three adults-only cable-show sites, as Comedy’s South Park held onto the top spot, with MTV’s 16 & Pregnant moving up one slot to No. 2, and MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew dancing its way into third place. New top 25 entries were VH1’s Basketball Wives (22 from 33), and MTV’s Teen Wolf (24 from 105).
When combining broadcast and cable shows, the top three remained unchanged for the fifth week in a row: Idol, Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants, and South Park. Climbers in the top 25 were America’s Best Dance Crew (15 from 25), and Nick’s The Fairly OddParents (25 from 35).
