All three evening newscasts saw big growth last week compared to the same week last year.
“NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams” saw the most growth among younger viewers (+7%) while “CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley” was up the most in total viewers (+16%). ABC “World News with Diane Sawyer” was also up: +5% in viewers and +6% in the demo.
“Nightly” has now been the No. 1 evening newscast for four straight years, 211 weeks in fact. “World News” has increased its demo viewership for the last 5 weeks. “Evening News” had its most watched week since April 15, the week of the Boston Marathon attacks.
