Evening News Ratings: Week of October 17

Another week of growth for all three evening newscast, in both Total Viewers and the A25-54 demo. And that growth could continue as the days get shorter and the U.S. returns to Standard Time Nov. 5. The three newscasts had a combined average of 22,010,000 viewers last week, the first time the shows have topped 22 million since the week of Aug. 22, which was an unusually busy news week.

Compared to the same week last year #3 “The CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley” is up the most, +13% in Total Viewers. ABC’s “World News with Diane Sawyer” grew +10% and NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams” was up +7%.
