Evening News Ratings: Week of October 10

As he prepares for his primetime debut, Brian Williams’s evening newscast remains locked in first place. “NBC Nightly News” was also up +3% in Total Viewers compared to the same week last year. ABC”s “World News with Diane Sawyer” was also up, +4% in Total Viewers.

Wednesday’s “World News” — with David Muir subbing for Sawyer — was the #1 newscast outdrawing “Nightly News” in Total Viewers (+83,000) and A25-54 viewers (+52,000). On that night NBC led with new GOP poll results, the “CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley” led with Iranian sanctions, and ABC led with the Michael Jackson death trial.

All three broadcasts grew in the A25-54 demo compared to last year.
