All three broadcast evening newscasts experienced Total Viewer growth last week as more Americans tuned in ahead of the midterms and got the latest news on Friday’s terror scare.
“NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams” was again #1 with a 600K viewer lead over #2 “World News with Diane Sawyer” which had the most week-to-week growth: up +7% in Total Viewers and up +6% in A25-54 viewers. The “CBS Evening News with Katie Couric” was also up in both Total Viewers and younger viewers.
With daylight saving time ending this weekend and the weather turning colder, these are typically the best-performing months for the broadcasters.
